The energetic members of the Hannaford Youth Program perform under the leadership of Anita McAlister. This concert will also include the final round of our annual Solo Competition as the winner will play with the HSSB on the Sunday April 15th concert.

Community bands from across Ontario and beyond will perform a wide variety of repertoire. Some will vie for the Hannaford Cup, our annual award for excellence. Many members of these ensembles will compete in our annual Slow Melody contest. The winner will perform with the HSSB on Sunday April 15th.

Universally recognized for their service and virtuosity , the CSB under the direction of Bandmaster John Lam returns to our Festival Stage for an inspiring evening of music in the grand Salvation Army tradition. Tuba virtuoso Patrick Sheridan will amaze us with his solo turn with the band.
Dreaming of the Master

Canadian trumpet virtuoso, Jens Lindemann, will make a welcome return to the Hannaford stage in a performance of Canadian composer, Allan Gilliland's Dream of the Master for Trumpet and Brass Band. Making his debut as Guest Conductor will be the remarkable Patrick Sheridan. This is the grand finale to the HSSB Festival of Brass, an annual three day event that celebrates youth, community and the very best of professional music making.
