NEWS RELEASE: The award-winning Hannaford Street Silver Band presents its 8th annual FESTIVAL OF BRASS during the April 15, 16 and 17 weekend. This exciting festival of youth, community and the best of professional music-making in joyous collaboration takes place in the Jane Mallett Theatre, St. Lawrence Centre, 27 Front Street East, Toronto.

“RISING STARS”
FRIDAY, APRIL 15th at 7:30 PM. $20
The energetic members of Hannaford Youth perform under the leadership of Darryl Eaton and Anita McAlister.
The program will also include the final round of the Annual Young Artists Solo Competition, the winner who will perform with the HSSB in “Low Blows” on Sunday afternoon, April 17, 2011.
“COMMUNITY SHOWCASE”
SATURDAY, APRIL 16th. 12:00 NOON - 10:00 PM. $25
Details and list of participating bands will be posted as event approaches.
“LOW BLOWS”
SUNDAY, APRIL 17th at 3:00 PM. $12 to $40
The remarkable tuba virtuoso, Patrick Sheridan will collaborate with the HSSB under the baton of Alain Trudel.
