Matthew Brooks is Partner and Director of Operations & Communications at South Park Project Management Inc., a Toronto-based construction management firm specializing in custom residential projects. His work includes innovative and energy-efficient homes, from Toronto’s first LEED Platinum-certified residence to contemporary all-electric laneway and multiplex projects. He holds a Passive House Institute Tradesperson certification, and his work has been featured in Canadian House & Home, Ecohouse, Construction Today Magazine, and Modern Builder & Design.

 

Before moving into construction management, Matthew trained as a professional musician, earning a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto and a Master of Music Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. His musical background continues to inform his approach to leadership, collaboration, communication, and the coordination of complex creative teams.

 

Matthew also co-owns OHSO Studios Inc. with artist and musician Paula Arciniega. The Toronto-based creative company supports arts production, artistic collaboration, and projects that bring artists and audiences together.

Matthew serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Hannaford Street Silver Band, bringing together his longstanding connection to music with his professional experience in operations, communications, and project leadership.
